Dr. Kenneth Jay Cohen, M.D., M.B.A.
Dr. Cohen is Director of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology and Clinical Director of the Division of Pediatric Oncology at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. He received his undergraduate degree at Brown University and earned his MD at the Upstate Medical University, in Syracuse, NY. He did his general Pediatric Residency and Chief Residency at the University of Colorado and completed his Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He has served on the faculty since 1994. His research centers on clinical trials of novel therapeutics for children with brain tumors.
Dr. Cohen is co-chair of the High-Grade Glioma committee for the Children's Oncology Group and in that capacity has a particular research interest in the development of therapeutics for the treatment of infiltrating gliomas. He serves on the scientific advisory board for a number of organizations including St. Baldricks and the Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation. He is on the editorial board for PDQ with responsibility for authorship of the pediatric CNS brain tumor summaries.
The Pediatric Neuro-Oncology program conducts a broad range of research centered primarily around the development and testing of novel therapeutics for children with brain tumors. The multidisciplinary nature of this work translates into continual collaboration with specialists in pediatric neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuropathology, neuroradiology, neurology, neuro-ophthalmology, neuropsychology, and other related disciplines.

Dr. Lori L. Vanscoy, M.D.
Dr. Lori Vanscoy is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and her pediatric pulmonology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. She has served as the Cystic Fibrosis Center Director for 6 years at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia before returning to Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Jonathan Walsh, M.D.
Dr. Walsh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Following residency training, Dr. Walsh served two years active duty as a Major in the U.S. Army at Ft. Gordon. After active duty service, Dr. Walsh completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the University of North Carolina.
His clinical interests include head and neck masses, thyroid disorders, vascular malformations, tracheostomy, tracheal stenosis, aerodigestive disorders, chronic ear disease (ear infections), sinus disease (sinusitis), hearing loss, ankyloglossia, sleep apnea, laryngeal cleft, as well as the full spectrum of pediatric head and neck disorders. He is an active participant in the Vascular Anomalies Team, Fetal Therapy Multidisciplinary Team, and Pediatric Sarcoma Tumor board. He offers minimally invasive endoscopic ear surgery and minimally invasive surgeries of the airway, ear, and sinus.
Dr. Walsh's research interests are in novel ultrasound technology applications to head and neck disorders, outcomes and health care disparities, ankyloglossia (tongue-tie) and lip tie, trans-oral robotic surgery, and airway imaging and modeling.

Dr. Alan R. Cohen, M.D.
Dr. Cohen is the director of the Johns Hopkins Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery and the Carson-Spiro Professor of Pediatric Neurosurgery. He treats all pediatric patients, with a focus on brain tumors. Dr. Cohen sees patients at the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center’s Neurosciences Clinic.
Dr. Cohen is a leader in developing minimally invasive techniques to enhance the safety and efficacy of selected pediatric neurosurgical procedures. He serves as Director of the Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery Laboratory at Johns Hopkins and directs the Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery Fellowship. His lab focuses on developing novel instruments and surgical approaches. He has authored 190 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and published two textbooks. He has given approximately 330 national and international presentations and has been an invited visiting professor at 50 medical centers.
He is past president of the Society of Neurological Surgeons, the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons and the AANS/CNS Section on Pediatric Neurological Surgery. He is past vice president of the American Academy of Neurological Surgery and a past director of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a current director of the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Andre Gvozden, M.D.
Dr. Gvozden is a board certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been in practice for over 40 years. He moved from Brazil in 1978. His pediatric training occurred at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Sinai Hospital. He has additional expertise in Dermatology and Attention Disorders. He is currently on staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He is an Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at The University of Maryland, and he is on staff at Johns Hopkins Hospital

Cathy Gvozden, CRNP
Cathy has been practicing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 35 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters in Pediatric Primary Care from the University of Maryland. Her training was at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has extensive experience in Pediatric intensive care. She and Dr. Gvozden live in Millersville and have four grown children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Eliza Huebner, M.D.
Dr. Huebner received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of Maryland, College Park. She attended medical school and received her pediatric training at University of Maryland School of Medicine. She joined Gvozden Pediatrics in 2019 as a board certified general pediatrician with special interests in newborn care, lactation as well as behavior and development. She grew up in Severna Park and now lives there with her husband and three children.
